Improve K-9 drug team performance on the streets and in the courts.
Goal Oriented Training Seminar is available to any Law Enforcement Agency interested in co-hosting the three day course with Positive Response Canines. Seminar focuses on strengthening K-9 handler abilities on the streets and in the courts.
This traffic stop developed into a sweep of the vehicle after officers recognized indicators of criminal activity - possibly drug related. The canine ran a sweep of the vehicle and alerted to the odor of narcotics coming from it. A search of the vehicle turned up narcotics, automatic weapons and explosives.
Aggressive criminal enforcement and a canine properly trained and maintained through Goal Oriented Training gave both officers and dog the needed skills that turned a routine stop into the apprehension of two heavily armed offenders trafficking in drugs and stolen explosives.
K-9 team from Bradley County Sheriffs Office made two arrests a week after attending the seminar. The officer credits what he and his K-9 partner learned in the seminar for the seizure of $26,000 and 4oz. of crack cocaine.
